Israel's Operation Cast Lead is targeting Hamas' cell phones, Web sites, and TV stations, Israeli news Web site Israel National News reported Jan. 6. A local Gaza Strip phone company, Paltel, said that 90 percent of Gaza's cell phone service is inoperable. Hamas' ability to send and receive orders has been disrupted and reportedly Hamas leaders have resorted to using hand-held radios to communicate with troops. Hamas' Web site is also currently inoperable.
